SVG background seems hard to render, maybe replace with easier SVG or PNG

Some Firefox instances (Firefox Desktop on one tested device, Firefox Mobile on one tested device) seem to have problems processing the page due to the complicated SVG, which is apparently hard to render. We should replace the SVG with something simpler
